History
"Bugs Killer" is an exciting action and survival game developed in just three days for a game jam. Set in a distant future, humanity has managed to colonize the planet Nigghite in search of new resources and opportunities. However, they encounter a terrifying surprise: giant mutated insects that are willing to fight to defend their home.
The player takes on the role of a brave invading human pilot who has a powerful war tank to exterminate the insects and secure control of the planet.
The game is presented from a top-down perspective with no movement. Although the tank is a formidable machine, it is not invulnerable. Occasionally, it suffers unexpected damages that temporarily render it inoperable. To repair the vehicle and get back into action, the player must repeatedly press the buttons indicated in the control manual available on the game's itch.io page.
"Bugs Killer" stands out for its minimalist black and white style, where the dramatic contrast between the darkness of Nigghite and the bright explosions of combat creates an intense and oppressive atmosphere. As time progresses, the game's difficulty increases!

Me encanta cuando un equipo elije un scope lo suficientemente pequeño como para que puedan pulir el juego. Y vaya que es dificil hacer eso en un game-jam.
¡Muy buen gamefeel y presentación!
Quizá para los brutos (como yo) que le dan play antes de leer los controles sería bueno que cuando tengas que reparar tu tanque te diga que botón presionar para repararlo.
Es un detalle pequeño, pero como el juego ya es super intuitivo, con eso lo haces jugable sin tener que leer nada.
Hice algo parecido en un jueguito similar que hice en un game-jam, también tenía una mecánica de reparar (tu planetita en ese caso):

Lo de los controles era por un limitador para el game jam, aunque al final no lo cumplí del todo por el Menú de derrota y las voces de los power ups jeje, mala mía

Very Fun! Some issues through. The spike buff blocks your own shots which makes shooting at certain angles impossible when it's active. I don't like the mechanic of the tank breaking down randomly, it would be better if it was something that could be avoided like enemy bullets that you could stop before they hit you. It's entertaining but I feel unfair to lose because the spikes don't let me shoot certain insects and it disappears just in time for them to kill me TT_TT
Thank U very much for playing! The mechanic of the spikes was something the musician suggested, but I couldn't solve it in programming, and I also didn't decide to remove them because there would only be two power-ups left :( Would you prefer if that power-up didn't exist?
